Publicity Guidelines

All Granby Education Foundation grant recipients agree to acknowledge the GEF as the source of grant funding and are requested to follow the logo usage guidelines and use our tagline or one of the provided mission summaries in communications. Also any other person or organization that would like to mention the GEF in any communication is asked to follow these guidelines as well.

Forms of Communication

  1. Print media: Grant recipients will credit the Granby Education Foundation in any communications concerning the grant. This includes: event flyers or posters, newspaper articles, newsletters, press releases, advertisements, signage, etc.

  2. Digital media: Grant recipients will credit the Granby Education Foundation in any digital communications concerning the grant. This includes: social media posts, emails, videos, and websites.

  3. Verbal communication: Grant recipients will credit the Granby Education Foundation in any in-person communications concerning the grant. This includes: event introductions and meeting presentations.

Logo Usage

We encourage grant recipients to use our logo in print and digital media communications whenever possible. Please download the logo from the press packet web page. You may print our logo in color or black and white. Please do not alter it beyond scaling for size.

We also encourage the use of our logo as a means of recognizing GEF funding for tangible items like equipment or furniture in the form of a label placed on the item. Contact the GEF for more about information about labels.

GEF Tagline and Mission Summaries

Please refer to the Granby Education Foundation with our full name for its first mention, though you are welcome to use our abbreviation, GEF, in subsequent mentions. If space allows, please use our tagline:

  • or either of the following paragraphs to explain our mission.

Founded in 2000 with the objective that a town’s educational system should extend beyond its schools, our mission is to fund innovative educational initiatives that expand community involvement in education, enrich creativity and capabilities in teaching, and encourage interest in educational opportunities for Granby residents of all ages.
